Sanrio Puroland is a small, indoor amusement park located in Tama, which is about 1 hour from central Tokyo. If you love Sanrio, you may want to consider visiting this park. It is the perfect size for toddlers and small children.
Sanrio Puroland Rides
There are about 3 rides, and a handful of walk-through exhibits like Kiki & Lala’s house (the Little Twin Stars), Lady Kitty’s House (Hello Kitty’s House), and Gudetama Land.
The rides are similar to It’s a Small World at Disneyland and the kiddie rides in fantasyland. There is a boat ride that is reminiscent of It’s a Small World plus Splash Mountain (without the splash) and a My Melody themed cart ride.
For me, the best part of Sanrio Puroland was the kawaii food. While it doesn’t taste amazing, it is amazingly cute. The food court in the basement has the best selection of kawaii food.
You can also play UFO Catchers filled with Sanrio merchandise (but you can also find this in central Tokyo), and shop for kawaii Sanrio merchandise throughout the park. You can also meet & greet the Sanrio characters, and take photos with them.
Sanrio Puroland tickets cost about ¥3300 to 3800 JPY for adults, and ¥2500 to 2700 for children (kids under 2 are free), depending on whether you go on a weekday or weekend/holiday.
